THE BRIEF

What SaifyPOS is

SaifyPOS is TwinFusion's own cloud point-of-sale system for retailers in East Africa, and our flagship retail product since 2023. It runs the shop counter and the online store from one source of truth, and it is built for the realities of African retail, including patchy connections.

It covers billing, invoicing, purchasing and multi-branch inventory with transfers and consignment, plus M-Pesa and KRA eTIMS integrations and links to e-commerce stores. It also tracks margins and customer accounts, keeps audit trails and produces management reports. Businesses running it include The Artisanal Gallery across six branches, and Ahmed Business Solutions and Power Innovations across four branches each.

SYSTEM MANUAL

How SaifyPOS works

Overview

SaifyPOS is TwinFusion's flagship retail point-of-sale system for East Africa. It runs the shop counter and the online store from one source of truth, with real-time stock and sales reporting, and it is built for the realities of African retail, including patchy connections. Deployments include The Artisanal Gallery (six branches), Ahmed Business Solutions (four branches), Power Innovations (four branches) and Neelkamal Garments / Heritage Garments.

Who uses it

  • Counter staff — ring up sales and issue receipts at the shop counter.
  • Branch and stock teams — receive stock in batches, move it between branches and keep track of consignment goods.
  • Managers and owners — follow margins, period-based sales analysis, location KPI reports and management reports.
  • Administrators — run the system, with one-time passcode (OTP) verification on admin sign-in.

Main modules

  • Point of sale — counter sales with receipts, each linked to the product's sales history.
  • Billing and invoicing — invoices alongside counter sales.
  • Purchasing and receiving — purchases from suppliers, with batch receiving of stock.
  • Multi-branch inventory — real-time stock for every branch, with transfers and consignment.
  • Supplier stock — dashboards and exports showing stock by supplier.
  • Customer accounts — account customers managed alongside sales and invoices.
  • Reports — margins, period-based sales analysis, location KPI reports and management reports.
  • Audit trails — a record of activity across the system.

How it works

  1. Stock arrives from suppliers and is received in batches, then shows in the branch's real-time stock.
  2. Goods move between branches as transfers, and consignment stock is tracked.
  3. At the counter, staff ring up the sale and issue a receipt; customers can pay by M-Pesa, and the eTIMS integration handles KRA tax invoicing.
  4. Orders from linked online stores draw on the same stock, so the shop and the website stay in step.
  5. Managers review margins, period-based sales and KPI reports for each location, and can trace any product's sales history back to its receipts.

Integrations

  • M-Pesa — mobile money payments.
  • KRA eTIMS — electronic tax invoicing.
  • E-commerce — an API that links online stores to the same stock and sales.

Platforms and access

  • Cloud-based and used on the web, so every branch and the online store work from the same live records.
  • Built to cope with patchy connections.
  • One-time passcode verification for administrators, and audit trails across the system.
